Well all has been well with the newer Graphics card on the Wife's System, and have been very impressed with its performance, The XFX Geforce 7600GTS 256meg XXX edition are fantastic. IMHO, and would recommend them very highly.

Project 1 - SmoothWall Express 2 sp1-Firewall

My first ever Linux project was the building of a hardware firewall with the use of SmoothWall Express 2 sp1 and a few mods for Orange server Interface.

Built using - Pentium 3 533mhz processor, Aopen MB,
389meg Sdramm pc133. 400watt psu, ATX case,
Creative32x CDR/RW-Drve, 1.4 floppy dive,
20 gig WD-HDD-7200, 3 x Rappotech Either Cards {Red,Green,Orange-Interfaces}
Sifled mod + Orange mod + dhcp3 orange mod
Connected to D-link502T modem-router + D-linkDSE100SD 5port switch running Network for
3 Pentium 4 PC's + Server off the Orange Interface

Project 2 - Ubuntu Feisty 7.04 LAMP Server

This is my first attempt at build a Server so I thought why not give it a go, and have almost finished it too, only have the Mail server part to finish and polish up the web site to be served and all will be done - hopefully, and many thanks go to all the people at Ubuntu Forums for there help and support for making this project worth while.

Built using - Pentium 2 333mhz Slot1 processor, Iwill bd100 MB, 484meg Sdramm PC133. 400watt psu,
Diamond Stealth-3 Sav4 32mb vid card, creative sound 128bit card, Samsung 40x CDR/RW drive, 1.4 floppy drive, 40gig Samsung HDD 7200, ATX Tower Case.

Project 3 - Updated and Rebuild of Firewall No-2

Built Using the same Processor in one of my Servers,
Pentium!! 333mhz Slot1, Iwill bd100 MB, 512meg pc133 sdram, WD IDE 20gig 7200 HDD, 300watt PSU, 1.4.floppy drive, and a custom made wood case, 3 Rappotech Eithernet Cards - Green + Orange +Purple + Red interfaces

Running SmoothWall Express 3 Polar i386 sp1+2

Project 4 - Another Ubuntu 7.04 Linux Server

Built Using Pentium!!! 733 mhz Gigabyte GA-6vxc7-4x MB. 512meg pc133sdram, Creative 24x24 CDRW, Samsung 40gig 7200 HDD, 360watt psu, ATX Mid tower case.

Project 5 - New Dual Core PC

Well this project was long overdue and so was this post so here it is now.

I built New PC manly for Gaming, below are the specs

Proc - C2D 6550 2.33Ghz 1333fsb Clocked to 2.8Ghz 1600fsb
Ram - Corsair XMS 6400C4 800 (2 x 1Gig) matched pair 4-4-4-12
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-P35 DS3L
Optical - liteon DVD burner
Media - multi Card Reader
GPU - Inno GF8800GT 512MB DDR3
PSU - Corsair HX520W
CPU Cooling - Artic Freezer 7 Pro 775lga
Cooling Fans - 7 x 120mm ( 3 x Blue LED TT Smart Fans)( 2 x CM 120mm Blue LED) ( 2x Synthe Flex 120mm)
HDD's - 160 GB Seagate Barracuda 16mb + 2 x 250GB Seagate barracuda 16mb
OS's - PCLinuxOS-2008 + Windows XP Pro

Overall a pleased with the performance of this PC, is a great step up from the old P4 that had done me well for the last 4 yrs

Project 6 - Folding @Home

Installed Folding@Home on my old P4 and C2D and Server and Fold for Team32 Overclockers Forum.
